Overview

Stellar is currently seeking a Design Project Manager to manage multi-discipline design teams and to serve both internal and external customers. A working knowledge of industrial building design and construction is required – preferably having worked in the food and/or logistics industries building design industry as a manager, architect or engineer. The ability to manage multiple workflows, across multiple projects, at one time is critical. Skill set should include organization, communication, design budget estimating, tracking and invoicing, managing design schedules, managing internal and external meetings, and the permitting process.

Responsibilities

  • Review Client contracts
  • Review Client design program requirements
  • Client invoicing and change management
  • Design budgets and design schedules
  • Financial reporting and invoicing
  • Manage outside design consultants as required
  • Permitting due diligence
  • Weekly Client and internal design meetings
  • Ensure quality of overall design
  • Coordinate and provide technical support during construction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or similar field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building design, construction management, and/or design management experience
  • PE or NCARB certification is preferred
  • LEED Accreditation preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • Experience with Procore preferred
