Stellar is seeking a Pipefitter to plan, lay-out, position and align fabricated parts of mechanical, structural, and miscellaneous assemblies. You will install, test and repair all types of pipe and similar tubular products in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. as well as perform other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by supervision.

• Education: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a pipefitter or pipefitter apprentice
• NCCER Certification as Industrial Pipefitter preferred
• Six months Vocational school training preferred
• Must pass the prescribed Stellar pipefitter test
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions rapidly and accurately.
• Communication Skills – Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  The ability to understand information, ideas, direction and then be able to perform the task or project discussed. Also, to be able to ask questions to insure you understand the information given.
• Must have a working knowledge of pipefitting techniques and methods
• Must be able to layout mechanical equipment according to design and plans, and assist with installation
• Must be able to work with carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, poly/HDPE, copper, and various high pressure/temperature alloys
• Must be proficient in the use of bevelers, threaders and other end prep machines.
• Must be familiar with Refrigeration, HVAC and other process systems
• Must be able to operate mechanically powered lifting equipment for both personnel and materials as trained
