• Read and understand drawings and specifications
• Mange day-to-day operations on the job site
• Ensure that all employees are working productively
• Handle fitting or welding duties while supervising others
• Ensure that all employees are working safely and enforce safety policies
• Monitor tools to safeguard against theft
• Help train subordinates
• Maintain clean and orderly job site at all times
• Possess rigging capabilities
• Supervises crews including but not limited to:  pipe welders, pipe fitters, pipe insulators and laborers
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws

Expected Hours of Work

• Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. primarily during day shift
• Scheduling requirements may routinely require working weekend and some periodic second shift hours
• Certain portions of projects may require work up to 16 hours per day for several consecutive days

Travel

Anticipated 100% travel for this position. Locations vary throughout the Northeast United States.

• Welding certificate ASME 6G and three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
